The Sue DiNapoli Ovarian Cancer Society’s mission is to support gynecologic cancer patients in need throughout Southern Colorado through the Sue’s Gift Financial Assistance Program and to educate the community about ovarian cancer symptoms and risk factors. Since its inception in 2015, the Sue’s Gift Financial Aid program has helped 67 local women and their families during their cancer journey.
We believe that every woman deserves her best chance at survival regardless of her economic situation. Sue’s Gift Program helps Southern Colorado women in need with the overwhelming costs associated with gynecologic cancer diagnosis. Our grassroots approach creates a community of support for patients and family who are shocked at receiving that horrible diagnosis, especially when they don’t know where to turn next for advice.
4 additional new Board members, more volunteers, replacement laptop, professional database implementation support, management and staff/volunteer training plus an updated website.
Did you know that SDOCS supports over 7 types of gynecologic cancer patients and our Woman to Woman mentoring program matches new patients w/ trained survivors?
“I'm very lucky serving as one of the mentors with the Woman to Woman Mentoring program! Helping others face their battles is something I've been called to do. Thanks for all you do SDOCS! It's amazing to be involved and be part of something great.” — Robbie Smarr, Ovarian Cancer Survivor
