First Responders can see more trauma in a day than some of us see in a lifetime. Status: Code 4, Inc. provides counseling, mental wellness and resiliency classes and other mental health resources to local First Responders and their family members. Community support allows us to serve these men and women at no or low cost, helping them stay healthy, happy and committed to this crucial work.
In two years, SC4i has provided evidence-based individual and family counseling sessions valued at over $129,350 at no cost to First Responders or their family members; taught 41 tailored 2-hour to 40-hour Mental Wellness related training classes throughout Colorado and podcasts; produced six short films containing First Responder and expert testimonies that have reached over 752,000 individuals across the globe.
We need a Quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG) unit to map, evaluate and track changes of our clients’ brain functions to help us target our evidence-based trauma treatment via neurofeedback.
Each month, nearly 3 Colorado First Responders die by suicide. At any given time, at least 1 in 4 experience posttraumatic stress, depression or substance use issues.
