Safe Passage helps child victims of abuse tell their story and begin their journey toward hope and recovery. We coordinate the responses of partners in the law enforcement, medical, mental health, social services and legal fields in one child-sensitive location. These efforts ensure child victims and their non-offending caregivers achieve justice, hope and recovery.
We act as the team leader for all professionals involved in child abuse so investigations are streamlined and child-focused. In fact, the entire facility was designed with the hurting, scared and sensitive child in mind. In its 24 years, Safe Passage has supported and protected more than 19,000 child victims and their non-offending caregivers.
Safe Passage needs adult volunteers to supervise children in the playroom before and after they receive services, and administrative volunteers to help answer phones and complete clerical tasks.
