Hands are for Holding was developed to improve the social and emotional wellbeing of middle and high school students. This interactive school assembly program uses dance performance, gesture, and dialogue to explore bullying, healthy and unhealthy relationships, social isolation, boundaries, consent, and technological abuse. This program will create a new generation of healthy, positive relationships!
Hands are for Holding takes a proactive and preventative approach to combat the crisis of social disconnect in El Paso County. Dance provides a dynamic point of entry for meaningful dialogue within a safe space. We facilitate a platform for youth to identify social dynamics through movement and body language, giving them the agency to build healthier relationships with themselves, others and the community.
Connections to specific El Paso County School Superintendents, Principals, Counselors, and Teachers to help book this life changing assembly program into their schools!
