LFSRM walks with the vulnerable through services that heal, strengthen, and provide hope. We strive to partner with local communities to meet the existing needs of Colorado Springs. We support foster youth through safe placement and support services, work to prevent child abuse and neglect with a free respite child care center, and help refugees and asylees successfully resettle into the community.
At LFSRM, we believe there is no such thing as “other people’s kids”, and we work diligently with our families to support them through the foster process and beyond. We care deeply about our kids and work to restore hope for children in foster care. LFSRM welcomes foster parents without regard to religion, race, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or marital status.
We need families who can provide temporary care until children reunify with their parents, and families willing to adopt children and teens who are unable to return to their biological families.
LFSRM hosts monthly foster care and adoption support groups. Through these groups you can earn two (2) hours of training per group meeting attended.
“The KPC Respite Center is the most amazing thing I've ever been a part of. Offering free childcare to people who need it the most, and the ability they have to provide a loving, safe environment to these kids is such a gift to our community!” — Anonymous KPC Respite Center Supporter
