The Carbon Cut Colorado program gives everyone a chance to balance their carbon footprint while making a positive difference in the community. Donations made to Carbon Cut Colorado fund the free energy-efficiency work performed by Energy Resource Center for income-qualified households right here in Colorado Springs.
Our work helps people and the planet. Lower-income families often choose between heating their homes in the winter or paying for food or medication. We work on 600 homes every year in the Pikes Peak Region, cutting energy bills by an average of 25% while stopping over 3,700 lbs. of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere for each home. Together, we can create safer homes and cleaner air.
Volunteers are needed to assist with community outreach for Carbon Cut Colorado. As a construction company, we also need in-kind donations of equipment we use.
Each year we prevent 3.4 million pounds of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere while saving our clients a collective $300,000 in utility bills.
“It's hard to find words to tell how much I appreciate the work that Energy Resource Center's fine folks did for my family. It has made an enormous difference in our lives.” — Ricardo
