Diakonia (Greek for service) serves families to enable children to reach their full potential. It combines a holistic education approach, community-center locations, and affordable fee structure to operate three high-impact early education facilities throughout Colorado Springs – all with the ultimate goal that every child becomes a productive member of their communities.
Early education drives success in school and life. A critical time to shape productivity is from birth to age five, when the brain develops rapidly to build the foundation of cognitive and character skills necessary for success in school, health, career and life. Investing in Diakonia is more effective and economically efficient than trying to close the gap later on.
Financial support for scholarships. Partners focused on health, mental health, family support and early learning. Volunteers to help with building, gardening and cleaning. Donations of art supplies, books
A child without preschool is more likely to need special education, repeat a grade, and even drop out of school and be arrested for juvenile offenses later in life.
“The staff is incredible! Our daughter cannot wait to get to school. We are very thankful to have discovered Diakonia and it's caring teachers. We highly recommend this school.” — Diakonia Parent
