Youth in foster care often miss out on crucial self-esteem and resilience-building activities. Milton Foster Children’s Fund, a program of CASA of the Pikes Peak Region, helps fill those gaps for youths from 0 to 21 by providing funding for experiences like lessons and camps, events, teen life skills classes (like budgeting, self-care and nutrition), and free clothing and work experience at The Hanger.
Our program is great because of the children we serve and the incredible volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure the children’s unique needs are met. Through them we are inspired to do more for foster youth in this community who have experienced trauma, chaos and instability for much of their lives through no fault of their own.
A laptop for teen workshops with peripheral components (i.e., speakers, microphone, etc.), new toiletries, gift cards, and adult volunteers to teach life skills classes.
